Here is what to watch, read, listen and see during Fall 2022.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><b>Television<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>ABBOTT ELEMENTARY, SEASON TWO <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; This fall, students are returning, not just to CUNY schools, but also to Philadelphia&#8217;s Willard Abbott Elementary School. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Abbott<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elementary<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is in its second season, with new episodes coming out every Wednesday at 9PM on ABC. Created by Quinta Brunston, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Abbott Elementary<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is a workplace sitcom about public school teachers in an underfunded, predominantly black school. The television show made headlines when it racked up three wins at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Watch this show if you want a laugh during your study break. Brunson and her team make viewers chuckle at life and academia\u2019s shortcomings while allowing them to think about the little attention and funding public schools receive.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THE CROWN, SEASON FIVE <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; The Royals swirled headlines again when the longest reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, died this past September. According to Netflix, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Crown, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">racked up <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/09\/13\/media\/the-crown-viewership-netflix#:~:text=The%20series%2C%20which%20stars%20Claire,viewed%2C%20according%20to%20the%20company.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">17.6 million hours in viewership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> following the news of Her Highness\u2019 passing. Season five is set to hit the streaming platform on Nov. 9.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The new season will examine the Queen\u2019s reign during the 90s, especially her working relationships with Prime Ministers John Major and Tony Blair. Viewers can also expect to see the unwinding of Prince Charles\u2019 and Princess Diana\u2019s marriage, along with the aftermath of the latter\u2019s tragic death.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With new cast members, including Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vera Drake, Harry<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Potter), <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dominic West (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wire<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Affair<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) as Prince Philip and Elizabeth Debicki (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Great Gatsby<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) as Princess Diana, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Crown <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is one of the most anticipated shows for this fall.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><b>Film<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>MY POLICEMAN<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; After <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Don\u2019t<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Worry<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Darling<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and his <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-styles-madison-square-garden-banner-raising-1234597708\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">15 shows at Madison Square Garden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, fans of Harry Styles can expect to see more of the singer in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My Policeman. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The film, based on the novel of the same name, is set to appear on the big screen on Oct. 21, and on Amazon Prime for streaming on Nov. 4.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Styles, Emma<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Corrin<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Crown<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) and David Dawson (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Peaky<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Blinders<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) construct the main cast.Within the plot of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My Policeman<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, their characters play a quasi-love triangle. Styles portrays a closeted gay policeman, Tom Burgess. Burgess marries Corrin\u2019s character, Marion Taylor, while also being in a relationship with Patrick Hazelwood, played by Dawson. Dawson himself is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_Lumi_arts_\/status\/1401688156068528129?s=20&amp;t=sSP8iFJhdus5MKFKR35rAw\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">part of the LBGTQ+ community<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and Styles has stated that he does <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seventeen.com\/celebrity\/a39838172\/harry-styles-sexuality-label-interview\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">not like to label his sexuality<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Styles is often seen <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hsfeatures\/status\/1551159291385626626?s=46&amp;t=tRaag3qaYuqmULDKb0p3bA\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">touting pride flags<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in his concerts and his <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/harry-styles-harryween-boys-in-dresses\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">non gender conforming style<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Black Panther: Wakanda Forever <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is one of Marvel\u2019s most anticipated films since the death of Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular role of T\u2019Challa \/ Black Panther. As Marvel <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/09\/27\/entertainment\/chadwick-boseman-black-panther-recast#:~:text=There's%20a%20reason%20why%20Chadwick,of%2043%20from%20colon%20cancer.\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">decided not to recast T\u2019Challa<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the new film will revolve around Wakanda and the aftermath of the king&#8217;s death.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Established actors like Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong&#8217;o and Winston Duke all return to their respective roles. Wright, who plays T\u2019Challa\u2019s sister, Princess Shuri, is said to have a prominent role in the sequel. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/at.tumblr.com\/booiiiiiiii\/as-a-shuri-stan-its-so-sad-to-see-my-chaotic\/dmldny06flc3\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fans expect<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Shuri to undergo more responsibilities and long to see the emotions Wright will evoke in her character. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Wakanda Forever <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">premieres on Nov. 11, 2022.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>THE MENU <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; This article would be remiss without any mention of horror movies in the season of Halloween. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Menu, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">starring Anna-Taylor Joy (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Queen\u2019s Gambit)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Nicholas Holt (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Skins, A Single Man<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) and Ralph Fiennes (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The English Patient<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">)<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">will hit theaters on Nov. 18.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The film will explore Margot (Joy) and Tyler\u2019s (Holt) attempt to eat at Hawthorne, a renowned restaurant owned by Chef Slowik (Fiennes). The couple is met with surprise when they unravel the dark secrets of the restaurant&#8217;s lavish tasting menu.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>BONES AND ALL <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; Starring Timothee Chalamet and Taylor Russell, the film follows characters Lee (Chalamet) and Maren (Rusell). The two meet while on a cross-country trip and fall in love with their meeting being fueled by their shared interest: cannibalism.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Critics praise both Chalamet and Russell\u2019s performance, as well as the overall direction and cinematography. Another plaudit is the film\u2019s ability to fuse together different genres of film: coming-of-age, cannibalism, horror and road film.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A grotesque spin on adolescent romance, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bones and All <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">will hit theaters Nov. 23.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><b>Music<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Is October <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">month for musicians? Her tenth album will fittingly be released on Oct. 21 at midnight.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>THE<\/i><\/b> <b><i>CAR<\/i><\/b><b>, ARCTIC MONKEYS <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; The Arctic Monkeys\u2019 newest album will also be released on Oct. 21. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Car <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">will be the band\u2019s seventh album and proves to be an extension of the \u201cjazz lounge\u201d musical atmosphere they have created in their previous album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino.&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b><i>ME VS. MYSELF, <\/i><\/b><b>A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; New York native rapper, most known for \u201cNumbers\u201d and \u201cDrowning,\u201d A Boogie returns from hiatus with the release of his fourth album on Nov. 4. Matthew Perry, who portrayed Chandler Bing, details the ups and downs of his career in his new memoir. Slated for release on Nov. 1, Perry is openly candid on his struggles with addiction and his road to recovery.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><b>Stage<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>FUNNY GIRL <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8211; A revival of the 1964 musical, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Funny Girl<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> made headlines when well-known <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Glee<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> actress, Lea Michele, took over the titular role of Fanny Brice on Sept. 6. The musical is loosely based on the life of actress Fanny Brice and her notorious relationship with gambler Nicky Arnstein. Critics have nothing but support for Michelle\u2019s rendition of Brice, and the internet of course had its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/t\/ZTRH5k6PB\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">plethora of thoughts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> shared on various social media platforms.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>&amp; JULIET<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, will have its first preview on Oct. 28, and officially open on Nov. 17. Based on one of the most iconic love stories, &amp; Juliet explores what \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/andjulietbroadway.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">would happen if Juliet didn\u2019t end it over Romeo?<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d&nbsp; The comedy musical is written by David West Read, who also won an Emmy for his work in \u201cSchitt\u2019s Creek.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">is set to close on Feb. 18, 2023, marking an end to its historic 35 year run. The classic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber has won multiple awards, including seven Tony Awards, so be sure to catch a performance at the Majestic Theater before its close.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/br><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And that\u2019s a wrap.
