Five Pointz attracts tourists and graffiti artists from all over New York to Long Island City.<\/p>\n<p>Macaulay freshman Claudia Donofrio says, \u201cI constantly passed Five Pointz my entire life and it\u2019s hard to imagine it not being there anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4262\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4262\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/eportfolios.macaulay.cuny.edu\/messenger\/files\/2013\/10\/Five-POintz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-4262  \" alt=\"Photo Courtesy of Google\" src=\"http:\/\/eportfolios.macaulay.cuny.edu\/messenger\/files\/2013\/10\/Five-POintz-300x142.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"114\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4262\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo Courtesy of 5Pointz.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Many Macaulay students, as well as New Yorkers, view Five Pointz as a major cultural symbol in the city. Some see the work as art, while others see it as vandalism.
