To take a Macaulay Central course:
1. You just need to file an epermit this semester. Once your permit has been approved, you will be registered automatically by Macaulay Central.
2. If you change your mind, the class must be dropped by the MHC Registrar and the permit cancelled on CUNYfirst.

Taking a Course on Epermit at Another Campus
Instructions for filing a permit can be found here: https://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/web/about/administration/enrollment/registrar/e-permits.php

Tips for Taking a Course at Another CUNY Campus:
1. Use Transfer Explorer to find the BC equivalency for the course. MHC upper level seminars are usually equivalent to SPCM 3150, and the Springboard Class is SPCM 3185. If you’re unsure about the equivalent for a class, ask your MHC advisor for assistance.
2. File the permit on CUNYfirst. For MHC classes you can use the “Add Permit” option and for other courses you can use “Add Permit with Equivalency.”
3. Once your permit has been approved and entered in the system at the host campus, you will receive a registration appointment date from the host campus. You will then be able to register for the class.
4. If you’re studying abroad, check with the Study Abroad Office at the host campus to determine whether you will be registered by their office or not.
