Registration<\/strong>
Registration for Fall classes is done with the Macaulay advisors. Please ignore other requests from the college to sign up for classes.

Once you are registered, you can view your schedule at CUNYfirst > Schedule Builder. Email jweiss@brooklyn.cuny.edu during the summer if you have questions about your schedule, and include your EMPLID.

***All honors students have an Honors Academy Monitoring Hold that ensures that registration happens in consult with their advisor. There is nothing you need to do about this hold.

Tuition and Financial Aid
<\/strong>Students are responsible for student fees only<\/strong>, which equal the total listed minus the tuition charge of $3465. You can pay your fees on CUNYfirst through Student Center > Financial Accounts > Payment Plan. Make sure that pop-ups are enabled in your browser or you won’t be able to access the page.

Your Macaulay Scholarship will be posted closer to the fall term. You must file your FAFSA and TAP each year, even if you don\u2019t think you\u2019re eligible, in order to receive the Macaulay Scholarship.

Please note that you must be a NY State resident in order to receive the scholarship. You can establish NY State residency after one year and become eligible for the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academics and Credit<\/strong>

Don\u2019t declare a major over the summer because it could impact your financial aid. Please forward any emails you get about this to your advisor. If CUNYfirst shows your major as declared, you can undeclare it by using these instructions: https:\/\/students.brooklyn.edu\/knowledge-base\/how-to-drop-remove-your-major-or-minor\/<\/a>

Please have your AP scores sent by College Board to Brooklyn College, school code 2046.

If you have CUNY credits earned during high school, the Transfer Office will retrieve those from the system and post them to your account. If you don’t see them on your transfer credit report: https:\/\/www.brooklyn.edu\/teo\/transfer-credit-report\/<\/a>, please email tcevaluation@brooklyn.cuny.edu<\/a> to let them know you have done coursework at a CUNY campus.

A score of 5 is required on an AP English exam to skip ENGL 1010 (we still recommend taking it in honors if a seat is available.) If you scored below 5 on AP English you will need to deny the credits using this form: https:\/\/www.brooklyn.edu\/teo\/petition-to-forfeit-exam-credits\/<\/a>

If you receive AP credit for another class you are already registered for, let your advisor know so we can advise you on whether to change your schedule or forfeit the credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math Placement<\/strong>
All incoming students are placed into MATH 1006 by default. If you would like to take pre-calculus or calculus, you must first take the Qualifying Exam<\/a>. Not all majors require higher math so discuss your plans with your advisor.

***All pre-health students take CHEM 1200 which requires that you place into pre-calculus or above through AP credits or the qualifying exam.
