In order to write a post, drag the pointer over \u201c+ New\u201d on the menu bar at the top of your browser window when at the class site. Select \u201cPost\u201d from the menu that drops down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the \u201cAdd New Post\u201d screen you may then write your post following these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Give your post a title<\/strong> \u2013 something that captures the spirit of what you\u2019ve written or identifies the topic of exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Write your post in the big box below the smaller title box. (It may be helpful to draft it first in Word or a similar word processing program so that you don\u2019t lose the content of your post if the course website times out\/if you lose the wifi connection.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. Categorize <\/strong>your post. This is very, very important. If you do not properly categorize your post, your professor will not be able to find it. It is possible the post won\u2019t even appear on the site at all. You can find the \u201cCategories\u201d box to the right of the box where you create your post. Click on the category that matches the date for which you\u2019re posting your event review on. Remember to also choose your name from the categories menu. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Publish<\/strong> your post. You will see a green button that says \u201cPublish\u201d above the categories box. Click the \u201cPublish\u201d button. If you do so accidentally, you can always go back and edit the post. If your post includes images, or content that is specifically formatted, you can click the green \u201cPreview\u201d button prior to publishing your post to see what it will look like once published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (Alternately, when at the class site, you can also add a new post by moving the pointer over the site name in the same menu bar. Select \u201cDashboard\u201d from the menu that drops down. This will take you to the \u201cback end\u201d or control panel of the site.
