In our research we examined\u00a0 this question by using fungi data from iNaturalist from the months of June, July and August from the years 2020 to 2024. We used only information from Central Park and used the NOAA database to get our weather patterns for these times as well. We then did a bivariate correlation analysis using the Pearson correlation coefficient formula for an r-value. From this, we concluded that there is actually no significant correlation. This test, however, has multiple issues. For future work, observations should be made with greater seasonal variety and with a longer time period.
