We are upperclassmen from Macaulay Honors College enrolled in the Fall 2025 course Food, Politics, and Identity. Throughout the semester, we have been investigating the connections between food and culture, culminating in our final projects, which will focus on community engagement and advocacy. As the Breaking Bread Group, we are proposing to incorporate more culturally relevant foods, such as non-traditional breads, into NYC schools as a way to promote integration and cultural diversity in schools.
