Macaulay Honors College seeks a cohort of four faculty fellows from across disciplines to participate in our Critical AI Literacy faculty working group. The group has three primary goals for AY 26-27:
- Develop and deploy a faculty survey to assess of use and effects of Generative AI in honors teaching
- Prepare a white paper of the findings
- Draft and propose a Generative AI policy to Macaulay’s College Council by the end of the academic year
Members should be enthusiastic about following research related to Generative AI’s influence on cognition, scholastic performance, creativity, safety, labor, environment, and pedagogy. The working group will interact regularly with Macaulay’s undergraduate Critical AI Literacy fellows, undertake readings and discussions, and engage with colleagues and other Macaulay community members.
Compensation for this work is $1500 paid as NTA hours. Apply by October 9.
