This is tonight, a conversation and Q&A with State Assemblymember Alex Bores who is running for Congress in NY-12. He used to work for Palintir and his campaign has sustained intense opposition from AI and Big Tech lobbying groups because he believes in regulation. From Wikipedia describing the current congressional race in NY-12 (that he is running against a Kennedy scion) “a “microcosm” of a nationwide political spending battle over AI regulation.”
The event is also presented by NYC Off Tech and Young People’s Alliance. I don’t think it’s being advertised very heavily at all and not on social media so could be a great chance to have your voice heard and be part of a really important conversation.
