Night at the Museum

Personally, I do not typically visit museums, however this experience challenged my previous ideas of them. Before, I did not appreciate the art and rich culture displayed in museums but I now feel a new sense of belonging within them. I felt I could connect some art pieces with ideas I’ve learned in classes, or every day events. I now believe that museums are crucial in preserving our history and it is important to reflect upon it and see how far society has come as a whole. Therefore, I would definitely encourage other Macaulay students to visit museums in the hopes they experience the same revelation that I did. I hope the art touches them in the same way it touched me.
