Night at the Museum

Viewing this sculpture reinforced my belief in the existence of patriarchy throughout history. By seeing how ancient Egyptians depicted familial relationships, I was able to see societal dynamics in early generations and compare it to life now. As a result, I am able to appreciate the value of museums more now as it goes beyond merely viewing art. Now, I would say I am able to draw connections to history and compare it to the current socio-political environment of the world. I would definitely recommend this experience to other Macaluay students as it definitely deepens your understanding of and appreciation for museums. The exclusive environment paired with the freedom to roam around all the floors allowed me to better connect with history and art.
