This project was worked on by 3 sophomores at John Jay and examines whether or not multitasking has a significant impact on the accuracy of the completed tasks. Through conducting multiple experiments with different trials among 20 participants, we found that multitasking does have contribute to a negative trend in accuracy of completed tasks. While we understand that some limitations surrounding our experiment, such as the similar age of our participants and the sample size, may have impacted these results, we still believe through the data we collected and the statistical analysis that our results can translate into real-life scenarios and also have a negative trend towards accuracy of completed tasks.
