When researching if golf courses affect the population of nearby animals, we found that specific species populations do not strictly increase or decrease. Rather, certain species populations increase, while others decrease. Specifically, when a golf course is built, there is a major change in environment, one that may increase in plain or forest space, resulting in a population increase for species that thrive in the new habitat, while decreasing population for species that suffer in it.
