This project is a visual representation of the Runagate, Runagate poem and composition, building off the fear experienced by runaway slaves to connect to larger themes about blackness and society and the feeling of anxiety.
Social media is one of the leading causes of anxiety and depression among young adolescents and adults. Interestingly enough, it was found that every participant that used social media reported some symptom of general anxiety. Moreover, many participants also reported having a symptom of social anxiety as well.
