This project looks at how New Yorkers often feel divided between who they are in public and who they become in their own thoughts. The city moves fast, but daydreams slow things down and reveal parts of yourself you do not always show.
We want people to see that everyone carries an inner world, even in a crowded place. That split is a natural part of trying to find your place, your purpose, and your voice in New York.
Completing this project helped us understand how art gives New Yorkers a space to pause, reflect, and express the parts of themselves that often get lost in the pace of the city. We realized that art is more than creativity here. It becomes a form of communication, a way to share personal experiences, and a tool that brings communities together. By shaping our ideas visually and emotionally, we saw how art helps people connect with their identity and with each other in a place where everyone is moving in different directions.
