For my groups project were decided to create identity masks. These masks are meant to use art as a way of communicated who we are as people. Creating art is a very intimate experience that requires an individual to be grounded within themselves. This project is a great way to get in touch with who you are as a person in order to make meaningful artwork. From this project I would like people to be inspired to embrace their true selves!
Completing this project helped me explore the role of arts in the lives of New Yorkers and their communities. This is because I got to see my fellow classmate's masks and learned new things about them because of it. I think that by making art people can communicate things that words cannot necessarily express. This showed me how important art really is!
