As artificial intelligence’s presence in the workplace increases, people are starting to wonder how it will impact the labor market. Our project analyzes how ai is affecting hiring and focuses on young hires in technology related fields in particular. We found that companies are optimizing for short term profits and making it harder for younger hires to get jobs by increasing the skill requirements for jobs.
