Richmond Avenue is home to one of my most frequented food spots on Staten Island. Located in a small plaza at a busy food intersection (1430 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314), Hawaii Poké Bowl stands out as one of the top-rated Hawaiian-inspired restaurants in the area. Since opening in 2017, it has been serving fresh seafood, salads, rice bowls, and a wide variety of drinks. The restaurant blends general Asian cuisine with Hawaiian and Pacific flavors, creating a menu that feels both unique and approachable. Their drink selection is just as impressive, offering everything from milk tea with boba to freshly made sodas in a range of flavors.1

The highlight of the menu is their “create your own bowl” option, where customers can choose from different bases like sushi rice or brown rice, a variety of proteins including fresh Poké, chicken, or vegetarian options, and an extensive list of toppings and sauces. This level of customization makes every visit feel different. The sauces, especially the house Poké sauce, play a huge role in tying each bowl together.

The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. The staff are consistently friendly, often greeting customers as they walk in, and you can usually see the owner and their family working behind the counter. The environment is calm and welcoming, with music playing softly in the background. It was even one of my go-to spots for studying during high school.

Overall, Hawaii Poké Bowl is reliable, fresh, affordable, and inviting. It has become a personal comfort spot and a place I often recommend to friends and family.
