These are masks that we made to represent ourselves. I did it with my sister. She was excited when she saw the mask and I told her about the project, so she really wanted to help. I have some things important for me there: family and my home country Ukraine. And I also included things I like: math, sports, tennis, chess.
How did completing your project help you explore the role of arts in the lives of New Yorkers and their communities?
This project didn't really help with it, but the other things we did in class did help. We learned about many New York artists.
