This video takes inspiration from iconic horror and mystery movies that have kept audiences captivated for decades. The setting is a familiar one: the NYC subways. Along with the setting, the situation is also familiar to anyone who has ever questioned the intentions of strangers while on the MTA.
Our goal was to get the audience to second-guess themselves as our main character second-guesses herself. We hope for viewers to feel the same intense emotions that she feels throughout the film.
Well, this project was a culmination of all the art projects we have been doing in our Arts in NYC class. For the past semester, we’ve viewed and discussed quite a lot of the art in our city. So to now actually contribute to the art scene (at least to the small art-scene environment of our class,) was an interesting experience! So much goes into the creation of art, we realized. It’s a bit taxing to create new things (we were so worried about not “getting it right”), but developing the creative part of your brain is a valuable pursuit to devote time to.
